We all know that planning and preparing for a wedding is a lot of responsibility on top of an already busy schedule! There is less and less time in the day as we shuffle kids to and from school, progress in our careers, and still try and find time to relax and have fun. That’s why finding life hacks that save me time is what I’m all about.

Wedding 2010 in the Church

I found EMS training in 2010, and it was a total lifesaver.  Why, you ask?

Well, even without our wedding day just right around the corner I was stretching myself pretty thin working, going to the gym three times a week (LesMills BodyPump and Balance Classes), enjoying our social life, and trying to sort out the details for our big day.

The wedding planning was mostly on track. I had sent the invites, found my dress, sorted the favours, and everything else on my list. I still felt like I had missed one really important thing though… myself.  My body was still missing that little extra “tone” that I was hoping to have for my wedding day.

Even though it may have seemed silly to the outsider, I just wanted to look and feel in the best possible shape I could be in my wedding dress. I wasn’t far away from my goal but somehow there was still a bit extra around my tummy and those dreaded “wings” on my arms that I would prefer to be gone.

I didn’t know what to do.  Time was flying – 2 months left, 1 month, 3 weeks, then just two weeks left…. eek!!  The last minute stress was setting in, and we all know how that can really get you going.

If I was being realistic with myself I knew that aiming to shape up in less than two weeks wasn’t very realistic… but asking never hurt! So I turned to a friend of mine who was a personal training and had been using EMS training for some of his own training sessions.  I asked him to introduce me to it and soon enough I was in a session of my own!

It worked! 3 personalised EMS training sessions later (and, may I add, plenty of muscle soreness) I got my results just in time for our wedding.  I felt so strong and toned after just 3 short, 20 minute sessions. It was unbelievable, and I was so excited!

When I looked in the mirror my arms looked more toned! The scales confirmed what I was seeing – the last kilo shifted! It didn’t go away on it’s own, but with some real, extraordinary help from the EMS training system.

EMS training results in a nutshell:

  • All of the sudden (aka after 3 super hard EMS sessions) I felt much stronger, without needing to lift one damn weight.
  • The results were great, and exactly what I wanted.
  • The time I needed to spend on EMS training as minimal and fit in perfectly with last minute wedding planning to be done.

And last, but not least – it was good fun! I’d call that a win-win-win in all aspects!
